  I just had a delicious breakfast at the Rooster Cafe. Rich, dark and aromatic coffee. Fun and warm atmosphere. Just one problem---rude staff....one in particular--the person representing the face of this business. This individual took orders at the counter and was the point person for all customers. I waited patiently in line for at least 10 minutes. I observed her warmly greeting and interacting with customers. When I approached her, no greeting and no smile (in contrast to how she was interacting with everyone else before me). I promptly and clearly placed my order: the two scrambled eggs with mixed Portuguese sausage and breakfast potatoes. She confirmed my order stating," So this is to go?" I replied that no, it was not. She impatiently responded that she thought she heard me say that it was. I again replied, "No." I was given a stand with a clipped order number and found a table for two and sat down. A couple sat at the next table and shortly after they sat down, another couple sat next to me (three tables with two 2-seat tables). My name was called and to my surprise saw that it was put in a To Go box! My coffee was in a to go cup as well! I informed a different employee behind the counter that my order was not to go and she offered to change it for me, and I stated that this was unnecessary. I saw how busy the staff was and did not want to make additional work for them. So, I returned to my seat and I dug in. I was not disappointed! I was nearly 1/2 done, when the couple next to me had their breakfast order. This employee who took all the orders came to my table, curtly asking, "Would you mind moving your table over so they can enjoy their breakfast?" As she approached my table, she helped me move to the left (of them). No smile...no apology...just rudeness conveyed by her body language. The insinuation was that I was being inconsiderate. This spoiled my experience and wrecked the otherwise obviously delightful ambiance. I am here from out of town due to a family emergency (perhaps I was otherwise distracted by my stressful situation). Pleasant reasons did not bring me here. I was looking for solace, and a change of scenery. If the service had been even good to very good I would have rated the Rooster Cafe with 5 Stars. I left taking my to go box with empty coffee cup with me leaving the table clean --exactly as it was when I was seated.
