  SO I recieved a spa sampler as a gift from my employees for Christmas 2008 to go to Romaine Markus of London in Costa Mesa. I was excited because I recently moved to the area and I was looking for a new facialist to help me with my acne.
  
  The spa sampler allowed for you to go in and upgrade to a better service. So, I upgraded every service. I found out that they paid $60 for the original sampler and then I paid an additional $35 - $65 for upgrades each visit.
  
  Quickly I found out and got annoyed when I recieved my facial and paid for the $35 upgrade to hear what they would do in the "normal" facial. They would put gloves to soften your skin, you would get additional services. The facialist told me that they didn't do the normal facial because they wouldn't make money.
  
  I paid for the upgrade and had a certificate, why not give a normal facial?
  
  Then I came back for my photo shoot. I paid for the $65 upgrade to have the make up artist do my makeup. On my certificate it told me that I would get 1 photo for free, what they failed to mention it was what ever photo they wanted to give you. I found out as I was paying. I ordered four and expected to pay for three and ended up paying for $65 to do my makeup and 4 photos.
  
  Overall, I was disappointed because I was looking for places to be a long term customer. I paid for every upgrade and I recieved a certificate as a gift - they still nickel and dimed me at every point.
  
  There services where OK, but I feel that if you offer a promotion, to not have several loopholes and overcharge someone at the back end.
  
  I have not returned, nor do I plan on it.
